The medium density foam features a compression rate of 36 lbs, providing the perfect balance of cushioning and stiffness. The foam measures 2" x 24" x 72" and has a density of 1.4, with a 100% recovery rate and fire-retardant properties.

Compression, not density, determines the firmness of the foam. To find the right cushion or mattress, you need to check the compression or ILD (Indentation Load Deflection) number. This indicates the number of pounds required to compress the foam by 25% and have it bounce back to its original thickness. For example, a 4" thick piece of foam that requires 35 lbs to compress it by 1" and return to its full 4" thickness has a 35 lb. compression rating or ILD.

The medium density foam is ideal for a variety of applications, including oval and round poker tables, furniture cushions, boat cushions, car cushions, foam mattresses, and bedding support. It can be easily cut to the desired size using a sharp carving knife or electric knife. It is important not to use a box cutter to open the foam, as this may damage the product. Instead, use a ball point pen or a pencil to make a small incision and then break it from there.

The foam is durable and is expected to last 7 to 10 years. It is made of polyurethane and is manufactured in the USA. The product has a density of 1.8 and a compression rating of 36 lb, with a 100% recovery rate and fire-retardant properties. The size of the foam is 6" x 24" x 72".
